Built around the way
your business works.
Explore the tools for getting paid, reviewing client books, and keeping records organized.
Quotes, recurring billing & credits
Turn accepted estimates into invoices. Schedule recurring invoices and bills, or choose reminders so you can review first. Apply customer and vendor credits, download branded PDFs, and email statements and overdue reminders.
Scheduled documents are generated when the books are opened on or after the due date. Email requires mailbox setup.
Online invoice payments
Add Interac e-Transfer instructions to invoices. Connect your company’s Stripe account to create payment links for outstanding invoice balances and record completed card payments when the books are opened.
Requires Stripe configuration. Card payment links currently apply to Canadian-dollar invoices.
Multiple currencies, Canadian books
Keep foreign-currency invoices, bills, payments, and bank accounts while your ledger stays in CAD. Use Bank of Canada rates where available, review exchange gains and losses, and revalue foreign balances at period-end.
Accounts for your industry
Start with accounts for restaurants and cafés, retail and online stores, contractors, trucking, salons, consulting, or rental property. Existing companies can add missing industry accounts without replacing their books.
A complete accountant handoff
Download a year-end ZIP with the books, financial statements, ledger and CaseWare spreadsheets, sales tax figures, receipts, and attachments. Your accountant can open the books as a separate company in Sumlora.
Included report detail depends on your plan and available records.
Review tools beyond the trial balance
Inspect the general ledger and aging reports. Review suspense balances and possible duplicates, reclassify transactions in bulk, post adjusting or reversing entries, and track client questions. Export reconciliation reports and adjustment lists.
Projects & billable time
Link income and expenses to customer projects, track labour costs and project profit, and turn unbilled time into customer invoices.
Inventory & cost of goods sold
Track quantities on hand and moving-average costs. Purchases and sales update stock, sales post cost of goods sold, and inventory adjustments account for counts or damage.
Fixed assets & CCA worksheets
Maintain an asset register, calculate book amortization, and post annual amortization entries. Prepare a CCA schedule by class for review, including additions and disposals.
CCA is a preparation worksheet; review the applicable tax rules and first-year treatment before claiming.
Work together with clear controls.
Owner, staff, client, and view-only roles; authenticator-based two-step sign-in; optional company codes; closing dates; inactivity locks; and an activity log of changes. Separate firms and client companies have their own access boundaries.
Keep a path back to your books.
Automatic daily backups while the app is running, manual backups, and restore tools. Configured servers can copy backups off-site. Choose desktop or shared-server use, English or French, and light, dark, or automatic appearance.

A little more
about Sumlora.
Who is Sumlora for?
Sumlora supports small businesses and bookkeeping firms managing multiple clients. It includes invoicing, banking, sales tax worksheets, financial reports, and accountant review tools.
Can I see the software before choosing it?
Yes. Open the interactive demo to explore the software with example companies. The demo does not save changes and has downloads disabled.
How much will it cost?
Contact info@sumlora.ca for pricing details. Tell us which plan interests you and how many companies you want to manage.
Will it support the needs of my Canadian business?
Sumlora includes English and Canadian French screens, GST/HST and QST worksheets, and Canadian payroll preparation tools in Plus. Review the outputs for your circumstances before filing.
Does it connect directly to my bank or file my returns?
Online servers support Plaid bank feeds when production access is configured and the bank is supported. Standalone desktop use supports statement imports. Tax returns and payroll filings are still submitted separately through government services.
Can I manage multiple clients or let a client pay for their company?
Yes. Sumlora supports separate client companies and firm workspaces. A firm can be billed by active company, or a client can pay for their own company. Monthly invoices can also be created for customers who pay by e-Transfer.
Does Sumlora support scrap yards or auto recyclers?
Yes. The optional Scrap Yard add-on sets up industry accounts and adds vehicle, VIN, weigh-ticket, purchase-voucher, parts, environmental-checklist, and vehicle-profit tools for a scrap yard or auto recycler.
Can I work in currencies other than CAD?
Yes. With Plus, foreign-currency customers, vendors, and bank accounts can be used while the books are maintained in Canadian dollars. Review exchange rates and conversion amounts before posting.
Does Sumlora file tax returns or certify payroll outputs?
Sumlora prepares worksheets and figures. It does not currently submit government returns, electronic T4/RL-1 or ROE filings, or prepare T4A and T5018 slips. Payroll tables currently cover pay dates from July through December 2026; confirm supported dates and review the figures before filing.
